WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT

My first memory is probably from I was four years old. I saw Robert Zemekis’ Who Framed Roger Rabbit in the basement of a downtown mall.

This is not an appropriate movie for a four year old to see, let alone in a movie theatre, yet there I was, frozen in horror, non-blinking at the violent sharp images flying across the screen.

This is a blog about films that I feel a connection with. I’m writing about movies ranging from profound to mediocre, that are most memorable to me, all in a sort of autobigraphical format.

For example, next week I will write about There’s Something about Mary, a profoundly shitty movie that I hardly ever think about, however, my friend and I had a hard time getting in, as he was underage, but we succeeded with my Mom’s help…

Thanks Mom.

I’m lucky that the first film I ever saw in theatres was pure cinema. Though terrifying, I was completely immersed, and yes I was scared but I watched the whole thing and watched it again and again on VHS as soon as it was available.

Thanks for taking me, Mom.
